Anyone played it?
I'm about eight hours in, and so far it's shaping up pretty well. The plot starts slow, but it's somewhat developing. Character development also started a bit sluggish, but is seemingly headed in the right direction. The battle system is awesome, even though it is a tad easy, and somewhat on the button mashing side of things. Music is very strong, as is voice acting; the exceptions being Polka and Beat. They are terrible. In several ways this game is reminiscent of Chrono Cross. Although the plot and character development aren't nearly as strong. |

Whoo! I picked this game up yesterday. I agree with this post, but I do like Beat's voice. His voice actor sounds so familiar, and that's probably why I like it. I'm going to look up the credits again, because I really want to know who's voicing him. As for the gameplay, it rocks. Most of my characters are lvl 15 now, and I'm trying to get through Fort Fermata.

I was impressed with the demo and it's definitely a game I intend to pick up at some point.
The Wikipedia page has a list of the voice actors. The one who voices the English Beat has done voicework for South Park, as well as lots of anime, cartoons, a few films and games such as Ratchet & Clank, Blue Dragon and the .hack series.
