I've recently cancelled my Gold membership and I can't remember what these free account still allows me to do/get access to?

Anyone got the info?

For Live? If you're talking about Silver, you can still download game content, demos, Live Arcade trials and full games, and anything off the marketplace that doesn't specifically say for Gold members only, which it pretty much almost everything so that shouldn't really stop you. You can message people, but not from the website, and so forth...

Pretty much the only restriction I think is you can't play games online.

I haven't had Gold since my first free month of having the 360, aside from many free 2 day trials my friends send me from their game purchase. I only really ever need them when I feel like playing a few rounds online so I don't really need to pay so much for the subscription right now unless something totally awesome comes out for online mplayer

Great, thanks for the info. I don't really get a chance to play against people online anyway so I'm not being penalised too much by saving myself £40 per year.

Yeah, you can voice chat and all still. I used that frequently when playing Single Player games.
