the microsoft point system problem

Does anyone eles have a problem with the microsoft point system I hate how u have to buy points in set packages the othe day i wanted to buy castle crashers which is 1200 points but i had to buy the set 1600 point card instead just the 1200 i wanted so they were able to squzee the another 400 points that i didnt want i think the whole system is set up like that just to get more mony out of you

Yeah, a plain price system would be much better, and that goes for the Wii too. In addition to making you pay more than you need to, it also helps make the price feel less 'real', being in something other than money values.

I was hoping the introduction of full games for download (which use real prices instead of points) was the start of a trend, but apparently that's only going to be for those games.

Ive now payed twice for fallout 3 dlc and both times had to over pay, but i figure its worth it since its really extended my gaming pleasure with that game. But i definitely know what your referring to...

I'm in the same boat. Skate2 DLC was 240 points while I had 180pts. I purchased Worm2 on live and got 1200 pts for it. Then still had to get a 400pts to get another dlc.

It's bad but i think if you buy enough, the pts add up in the end.

This forum i hang on some has peeps selling 4000 ms points for $30, which isnt bad if you used enough points (which i really dont).
