Default Is Nintendo ever going to learn how to do online?

Seriously, it was excusable for them to have the Friends Code thing on the DS. It was their first ACTUAL online system. But they know from feedback now that it's not elegant, it's poorly designed and hurts the online community.

They also still haven't been able to get any real online games going and we're about 6 months post launch.

Are there any Nintendo games you want online? What do you think about Wii's online functionality?

I think Wii has the best setup for online functionality if they actually used it. But then again i've never used the PS3. At the moment i would love to see a REAL boxing game for the Wii and that be online, it would be F'in awesome.

I'm not sure how game specific friend codes are a good thing. Let's say you and I love playing online together. Every single time a new game comes out, we both need to get new codes specific to that game and find some way besides Wii Connect to share them with each other so we can add the new codes.

I have some guys in my Halo clan that I love playing almost anything with. Every time a new game comes out that we both want, we're ready to go as soon as we pop the game in.

As for what games I would like to see on the Wii, I'd say I'm kinda excited about using Snake to whomp ass in SSB

You know, if the friends code would be system-wide (like you think they are on the Wii) - it wouldn't be great, but it would be bearable.
But they had to make system-wide friends codes, and then game-specific game codes. What gives?

I just want Mario Kart online for the time being.

we got a message the other day from Nintendo on our wii saying that the browser was going to stop being free in june.....

i mean, seriously, how could they seriously compete or even live in th s ame console world as even the psp without a free browser! lol... how ridiculous!

so come june if we want to buy a Sega or nintendo game to play on the memory card we brought for the wii.. then we have to buy the browser first in order to even see what we want to buy off nintendo!

It's not system wide, each game will require you to get a code and share it. It's like having a different XBL tag for every single Live game you own.

And here lies my problem. You can have a system-wide address list for the Miis and the central OS stuff. Why can't the games use that?

It's like adding a second layer of retarded.

Every day I'm more and more certain that a punch of Nintendo Directors are sat around the boardroom table pondering how they can lose money.
