so... I brought that EDF. I didn't pay full price for it, but if I had known what it was like I probably would of.
The Graphics are certainly not ninja gaiden esq or in bed with uncharted that's for sure, but they're sharp and clear with a fair draw distance. there's four button controls.. fire, zoom, jump and weapon swap! lol... none of this using a sixth finger to activate something.. nope, its incredibly simple. there are no camera views only rotation, so the camera is always behind your character and that's it, basic! anyway, I'm really really enjoying it! im only a little way in and I haven't driven or flown anything yet but I love the general B-movie style, I love the massive enemies ...and I love the fact that at the moment when a HUGE swarm of ants are just going fkg nuts and are rioting towards you that your assault rifle is enough to totally mow them down! there's seems to be inf ammo too so all you really have to do is kill kill and pick up either armor, health or new weapons that the beasties drop. I thought I would be putting a whole clip in to an ant and then run around trying to find ammo, nope.. thus game seems to bypass that element of none fun and lets you enjoy spraying a whole herd of ants and to be victorious. the length of the missions seem to last for different amounts of times, but its pretty sandbox, with the added fun of being able to destroy buildings like there's no tomorrow. one grenade or rocket will fell a skyscraper! ok, realism went out the window the first time you killed an ant, so now you can level a whole city just for fun... as for RPG/ Character improvement there doesn't seem to be anyway to improve your stats, its all just the weapons you hold, maybe later in the game you get more health? but I doubt it. the game seems to be happy to provide you with a wealth of health and the only thing that will kill you is you misjudging a situation and not handling it correctly. for instance I saw hundreds of massive ants on a hill.. do i A: fire rockets until they are mostly dead then storm it? or B: just get on that hill and start shooting them with my assault rifle? if you chose B.. you're probably dead. but with something like 230 weapons to find/unlock some do crazy damage, some have an advantage over something less strong etc etc.... seems that this is the main focus of the game. which I'm ok with. so even though I have only just started I am very very impressed with how much bloody fun this game is, it wont win any prizes for being a looker, it looks the very same as it did on the Xbox 360 five years ago. most of the reviews for this have all been positive with the only real negative being that it was a budget game on the 360, so why is it a full priced game on the Vita? the adding of online shouldn't really been a factor to ramp the price up. that said I feel that this has a lot going for it in playability. check out http://www.metacritic.com/game/plays...critic-reviews ...pick your fav review site and see i fits your thing, I chose to look at Eurogamer's site because they're usually on the money and they loved it. I don't think its for everyone, and its a shame that there isn't a demo out. but its a simple game that makes you want to play more, the battles are big, the damage is huge, the enemies are funny and huge and err... massive! its a cheap thrill that is brash and loud, fun and fast.. yeah, I'm hooked. but if you want quality for the eye, detail in the control and a engrossing story line with character progression and emotional ties, then Persona 4 is that way >>>>>>>>

well look at the game options for the vita... the only two that might be cool coming out are doa and soul sacrifice, doa is weeks away and ss isn't out till may! so there's plenty of time to grab this one.
i would love to see who had it on the 360 and to know what they thought of it, its difficult to put what I'm playing in to words. ![]()

Anyone else running out of screen space on their Vita? I know it's a 10 screen max and I've only two or three spots left for icons. Am I going to have to start deleting games?

I've downloaded PSP classics, PSN games, minis, and then there are the 30+ retail games that I've purchased. Don't forget about all of the "free" games from PS+, too. It's easy to fill this thing up and I've been reading about many other people having the same problem.

Have you gone back to Persona 4 Golden yet mate or you still on Ragnorrak? I'm starting to think Persona is to me what Ragnorrak is for you. I just can't put it down and the more I've been playing it and levelling up, the more badass it becomes. I've sunk a fair few hours into it today which is kinda the right way to go about this game. You can play in short bursts but for the story line you don't want to play just for a few mins at a time.
There was a while there last night I was playing and just couldn't get pass one of the (first) bosses, my health and special power bars were too depleted to take on the boss and I'd nothing in my inventory to raise either. It was looking real bad for me and I couldn't leave the TV because if I did the main character I was trying to rescue would die giving me a game over that would throw me back a full in-game week. So I warped myself back to the first floor and grinded my way back to the top again but this time using the online SOS feature and took control of all my party instead of assigning them automatic tactics. Then I'd use the Rush ability to save as much SP as I could, so with the SOS and my new approach combined, I was able to get back to the boss after about forty minutes of grinding, levelled up more in the process and was much better equipped and finally won. Plus all the loot and money awarded for every fight on the way back to boss. Now I've a party of four instead of three and I'm working my way back again though the level just for the sake of grinding more and getting some more money and resources. I also checked out some of the extras that you unlock during the game and view through the TV guide option. I don't know about you but I love the music in this game, and the more you play the more becomes available to listen to. And then there's other stuff that just expands on everything Persona that's just really, really cool to check out. It easy to see why so many people claim this game as the best game on the Vita. There's so much in it, it's amazing. |

Last week in order to accommodate fitting MGS2+3 on my Vita, I moved most of the smaller titles over to my 8GB card. Which I'm kind of thinking wasn't the greatest idea because some of them smaller games are much more fun than the full titles. It wouldn't be such a big deal either if swapping out memory cards didn't involve everything I spent time organising the way I like it, getting all screwed up. Ideally I'll be buying another 32GB card soon but I think I'll remove MGS again and free up that space and move some of them smaller games back over. Trial Bike is one of them games.
