I've been putting in atleast 2 to 3 hours each night since I got it. I'm at lev 25 with 15 hours in so far with 16% of the missions done.

Spoilers: "Highlight the text below to see it"
The ingame cs of Cissnei at the beach is She is my new fav FF character ever. She ranks up there with Rikku in terms of omg. lol

I'm still trying to figure out the materia fusion with items and spells. The best thing I can think of is saving the game and trying out diff combos and such. If you screw up just reload the save.

Highlight for secret lulz: Hahaha yea I agree with you there, although younger Aerith is looking fine too xD

As for materia & item fusion - that seems like a pretty good method lol. One of my personal favorites is Dark Thunder (thunder + poison), just because not only is it effective against most types of enemies, like those annoying robots, but it also inflicts status effects like poison and silence >

You can also combine an attack (the yellow ones that use AP, not MP) with materia or skills to create new attacks! I liked the Fira Sword, its cool.

The deal with the Mako stones is when you use an item in materia fusion, you can select more than one (some say 3 or 5 for +1stat), but my secret is that you can also use Elixer and Hyper Potion to boots the HP addition you get when you equip it.

It's a little confusing, but you'll get the hang of it.

BTW I just finished it. Oh. my. science. Almost perfect..

Have fun with it.

Ahh you can't buy Phoenix down anywhere. I dont think so at least. Did you get the Phoenix materia? When you get the Phoenix summon in a battle, it activates Raise, which will stay on until you use it, just like using a Phoenix Down. I also remember picking up a second Down on the Treasure hunting missions, if that helps.

I finished at level 39, I only did 18% of the missions.. Will do more when I play again ehehe

For me:

Level: 34
Missions: 32%
DMW: Characters: 6/6 - Summons: 5/6 - Special: 3/6
Location: Inn
Time: 20 hours 40min

I've sort of spent the last 4 game hours just doing missions. I'm saving some of the Hard and Very Hard ones for later on due to my lev.

Yeah, after every storyline mission, I save it, and go through any missions up through NORMAL, leaving only the HARD and VERY HARD to do later on when they get easier. Works pretty well, although NORMAL is getting kinda hard now as I take like... 400-500 damage from Wutai soldiers and magic. Gotten good with the dodging, but sometimes you just can't it.

I read somewhere that some of the later missions involve a 30k hit? Even more. Some are pretty nuts all ready. That one with the 3 robot thingys at the end spamming "stop" was hell.

I had a weapon skill I forgot the name of that maxed out at 9999 dmg then I materia'ed it to get "Blast Shot" that nails mobs out of the area but the dmg is reduced lol.
