Default Final Fantasy Tactics:The War Of The Lions a little giant

I have bought myself one of the new slim PSP just for this game, Final Fantasy Tactics: The War Of The Lions.

Since I am able to output the PSP video to my TV this might be a very good time coming for me.

I live in Norway and the only score I have seen so far from up here is a 5 of 6.
That is no shocking score, because I already know it is a excellent game. Very high replay value, very good story.

But since it is supposed to an upgraded-remake of an classic title I personally give it an 10 of 10, perfect score before even holding it in my hands.

Since it is a upgraded version of the original from 10 years ago, with some new added content, maybe another hidden secret.

I remember Cloud Strife being a hidden character along side a very powerfull robot called Worker 8. If these are still in this version I don't know, but I have heard that they have included newer Final Fantasy-characters from the likes of FFXII.

I don't know how big the fan crowd is for Final Fantasy Tactics, but I do believe that this title may be able to push more PSP systems out to more people. It deffently pushed me enough to get one myself.

So will this title help on PSP-hardware sales for some time? I think so yes.

Final Fantasy Tactics is my all-time favorite PSOne RPG (and game for that matter)

I've seriously contemplated the purchase of a PSP for this title as well.

I doubt it will have much influence on a masses though. It's not exactly considered to be a "killer app" for the system.

What RickyP said. FFT is my favorite game of all time as well, and while I have considered getting a PSP just for this remake, it's not really a system-seller (unfortunately).

I would've bought it already if this were a true-blue sequel, but as it's just a remake on a handheld, I'm not quite as interested. I do like the idea of being able to play it on my TV, though...

As for the game itself, yes, I believe both Cloud and Worker 8 are in there, and you need to undertake the appropriate quests and actions to get them. I think it's best if you look at a FAQ over at GameFaqs for this, because it can be a little tricky. As for other characters in the remake, I believe Balthier from FF XII is in there as well, but I have no idea how you get him.

has anyone got this yet?

i was considering it myself.. but my collection can only handle one grid based RPG (lol)... so its either this, Jeanne d'arc or Disgaea.

i must admit, i could well be heading towards Disgaea on this one.

As much as i liked Tactics, i literally wore the game out by powering up my characters so much that it pretty much removed the challenge of the game. Twas fun at the time, though, and i went on to several other grid based games (Shining Force big time). So that wouldnt be a system seller for me either....

FFT is awesome. I also recently sold my old psp and the the slim... if you have a original model get rid of it, the new model is a vast improvement over the old one. Once you have it in your hands yo just can't go back.

I plan on owning all three strat/rpg's my self, along with the greatest ever (FFT) I already have Jeanne d'arc, and Afternoon of Darkness is going to be mine also.

Farf, if you want to talk about leveling characters in FFT, in Disgaea you can level up to 9,999 and level up your weapons and items also. I believe those top out at ten though.

Played this game many times before, and know the story pretty well.

So now I am just fooling around and leveling up my characters. Is I am middle of chapter 3 at the moment.

I wont spoil anything if you haven't played it yet.

But have already gotten the Dark Knight job for the main character Ramza. It is very kick ass. My goal is to have a whole army of Dark Knights, takes a lot of dedication and leveling as Dark Knight requires you to master Knight and Black Mage, plus job level 8 in Geomancer, Samurai, Dragoon and Ninja.

So yea it is a long way to go, but it is not so hard with the main character as. What I did was I just sendt some of my party on 'Errands' and want loose on random battles.

The level of the monsters you meet is based on your main character Ramza's level, so what I did was having Ramza casting Tailwind with Jp Boost on a low level character, you will only get 1 Exp doing so, but your Jop points will high as normal.

This is so your Ramza character won't have so huge gap of levels between them.

My Ramza is level 54, so all enemies I meet on random battles range from level 50 to 56+

Well that is how far I have come, am I still waiting for my Component cable for my PSP so I can play FFT on my HDTV. The AV/RGB Cable only work for Video playback.

Hope I didn't spoil to much of the new stuff in the game.
