lol. Downgraded PSP are breaking the "rules" that Sony set (I'm postive it is lol). I have a bud who could downgrade and install that homebrew prog to run ps1 games but I'm on the fence with this. If he kills it, I'm out a PSP. If it works, there's bound to be probs down the road with the new games coming out to combat the downgrade. If I had 2 PSPs, no prob.
I don't know how to downgrade it, but I heard that it involes a well known game lol. |

Yeah, it's really sketchy as technically if you rip and convert the PS1 games themselves you're only making back-ups (similar to regular emulation I guess), but downgrading and some of the stuff involved is probably breaking Sony agreements. I haven't 100% decided whether I want to do it yet because of the risks involved.... but I really would love to play some of my old games on my PSP.

Portable Rival Schools on my PSP (which I played on my buds PSP) is insane lol. He keeps pressuring me to do it, but I'm holding back lol.

Like I said, it's pretty much worth doing now as all downgradable PSPs will soon be obsolete. You aren't going to get much for your PSP since it's outdated, imo it's not worth selling. Also, as I said before, you aren't going to be able to downgrade the PSP slimline, Sony is going to try as hard as possible to keep that from happening. AND, one of the homebrew scene's best/most reliable custom firmware makers has just retired, so we won't be getting any new custom firmwares.
True that it (downgrading) is against Sony's user policy, but they won't exactly know, it's not like we won't be supporting them anymore as you've paid for your PSX games (right?) and we shouldn't have to pay for them again (on the Network, in addition to buying a PS3), and you'll end up buying a bigger mem stick to fit all your "goods" :P I believe the PSP should be used to it's maximum capability, and downgrading opens the door to that PSP nirvana. -End rant.

I don't own a ps3

I'd need to boot back into windows to remember (it's something I did once for all my psx games, and then burned them to DVD), but the tool that i downloaded to rip my own games did definitely not contain any illegally downloaded games.

![]() Yeah, all the games I will end up playing on (PSX or other emulators/roms) I will have bought at some point in my life so Sony won't be losing out on money.
