Man, these memory sticks are insanely cheap today on eBay. I've been using a SanDisk 256MB ever since I've had my PSP. But when I noticed two weeks ago that a 1GB can be had for $15, I couldn't say no. So now I have a Sony Hign-Speed 1GB. What about the rest? Any 4 giggers?

Memory Stick = Giving Sony more money to product proprietary bullshit.
I have the 1gb and i'm happy with it. I doubt i'll buy more. I'm pissed at sony, why the **** couldn't they make PSP compatible with an SD Card. Other then that i love my PSP, the best money ever spent imo.

Got a 2gb card here. I still want a 4gb one cause of putting more vids onto my PSP. The PSP, as I agree with lazer is the best money spent.

Right now I'm using a 1GB, have about 13 hours of music, flash games/apps, pics of my spring break (remind me to make a thread about that), a few demos, (lumines II and loco roco are all I really need, DJ Max for a challenge lol) and the game saves, but I'm out of room, 63MB left
![]() Thinking about 2GB so I can have more music & videos.

For the exact reason you mentioned - Sony proprietary. Besides, mem sticks are pretty popular as is with other products, and it probably cost Sony far less to implement that over anything else. SD cards are licensed by some company, I'm sure - just like Memory Sticks are. |

I'm currently using 1gb, but thats mainly due to the fact that all my music (practically) is in wma format and I can't get online to download the wma update thing as I dont have wireless
![]() Thinking of switching the 1gb with the 512mb card I have in my phone though as I dont currently use my PSP a lot.

I don't own a ps3

I have a Gigger and I am sometimes tight when doing ps1 games in there. But if you are looking for one, buy a Sandisk. Lifetime warranty for the win.
And Arnold is right, all flash memory types (save USB) - are licensed by a certain company. It's just that memory sticks tend to be used in Sony products only (although I'm aware that there are exceptions).

I have a 512MB. I really need to upgrade to 2GB or something, just haven't done it.

Like you Arnold, I got a Sandisk 256mb the day I got my PSP a week after launch. But I ended up getting a 1gb Sandisk a few weeks back just because it was cheap ($25, not as low as yours but its still good).
I don't see myself going higher for the PSP, I don't think I'd make use of even 512mb of it.. More importantly for me is getting some more Compact Flash cards for my camera.. I have a 2gb Lexar 133x Wa and I love it, I need to get another or two soon. |
