so... whats everyone getting this year for PSP?


lol.. two days in and im asking already!!


last year i got Wipeout pulse... and its probably one of the finest games of its genre on the psp i will ever play. i just cant really imagine how much better it could be. graphics are outstanding, gameplay/playability its up there with the gods, online is amazingly good (tho some are complaining about glitches, ive yet to see them)..

and then theres the 'create your skin' mode which is online via your PC... just superb. and on top of all this, there will be new tracks and ships coming.

all for £25???? just insane.


brought MOH2 for the psp. and meh.. i want to like it, i want to love it. but they took out the one thing that was great and that was custom solo multiplayer matches with Bots, that was so cool because you could practise and play big matches if you were some where without internet.

i never play MOH on the psp for the storyline, because i just dont think it works, but 32 players online on the psp does! (you can almost see how WarHawk might just work on the psp!)

if i can download a completed gamesave then i might just keep this for online, otherwise.. trade city!




so.. who else is getting God Of War for the psp this year?

so..new firmware is out today.. well for the Jp psp's, so the USA and EU models should follow, probably even there by now!!

anyway its 3.90.. and it does 2 things!!

• Support for PLAYSTATION Network titles has been expanded.
• Skype has been added as a feature under Network.* (Only for PSP-2000 series.)

if you have a slim psp.. i hate you.

..because i dont.


but hey, i dont care (ahem).. we can play Pixel Junk Monsters remotely, hurrah!

anyone brought those Final Fantasy I or II just released for the psp?

i picked up FF2, and am enjoyng it so far.. just wondered if i should of picked up the first one or not?

still... not long til FF CC is out

I were buying DMC4 yesterday for PS3. Saw FF anf FF2 so picked up those too.

Now i got 3 Final Fantasy titles for my PSP-slim, FF Origins, FF2 FFT.

let us know what you think of FF1... and how it compares to FF2.

FF2 imo is exactly what i wanted in a retro rpg, i think (so far) its superb.

but would like to hear what you think in comparison.


i was going to pick up FFT, but im really not sure, i dont think it can get any cheaper either in the shops in the UK, i saw its for £14.. bloody cheap. but im still hanging on for a Vandal Hearts game... *sighs*


anyway FFCC will be out soon, very much looking forward to that. just wish they would put FFV-FF8 on the PS3 PSN for download!! I think i missed FF9.. probably wasnt looking in that direction when it slipped out.

Final Fantasy 2?
I don't know if it just made a 5 minute appearance in the US, but I guess it came out in July. I've never seen it, and the stores don't list it. I did manage to find the strategy guide though and a release date for the game, just no game!

Im playing FF1 now, so far i love it! but way way different top FF2...

Zapix, i would suggest you pick it up if you like FF games, as this one is different. as you dont have levels to gain through XP. its all about how you kill with a certain wep. ive been playing with two swords.. forget the sheild, stick a long sword in each hand and just hack away.. lol. greeat games

must admit though, FF1 is more my style of RPG (so far).

looking forward to CC.. not long now!!

i had heard about Kingdom of hearts for the psp.. i played No.1 on the ps2, never played the second.

you think it will be good then? i might pick it up if so...

I think the FF1 game is pretty good. They must have polished the game up a bit, kinda the same way they have done with FFT.
The music sounds very nice. Probably recorded all over again.

Despite the game being over 20 years old it run pretty well and is fun to play. It is fun to see how Square started out. There is really no introduction to the main characters, its just "here is 4 heroes, enjoy". But I like the static generic hero.


My game progress so far:
I am about conquer the air crystal. So it will be interesting to see what happends then. Air fortress is of course... in the air so need to get up there somehow.
I kinda know that I most likley to enter the elements chambers later on.

yeh, im lovin it too... ive just given that witch her eye back, and got the potion and have the mystic key... thats about it, im lev 19.

i take it that youre miles ahead?

did you see that amusing gravestone in Elfheim? theres three gravestones just before one of the magic shops, written on one of the headstones in the original USA ver of FF1 it basically said "here lies Edrick" it was a poke at Dragon quest, Edrick was the hero.

..BUT this psp version has been restored to the original Japanese text... as originally it wasnt Edrick who laid in the grave..

the original game and this psp version has it written "Here Lies Link"... it was a pop at Zelda, a bit like the Tommy thing in Driv3r, but this is far far more amusing.

personally, the only Zelda game ive liked was WIndwaker.. never could get in to the other games.. but its just very amusing that even back in the days of FF1, Square were bashing Zelda by burying Link in the Elf village
