Just picked up Coast 2 Coast and Open Season (on sale at GameStop) with a gift card from my wifey (birthday).

Going out of town for a few days, so I might have a chance to play them. Comments later.

Edit: I thought hard about picking up a 2 GB memory card ($29.99 on sale), but opted against it. If I could download PS1 games for the PSP - without a PS3 - I would have gone with the memory card, hands down.

How much longer, Sony?!?!

I'm VERY late to the party, since I finally got Outrun 2006 Coast to Coast on PSP. Got it for $10 during the EB sale. Fun game.

awww.. wish i still had coast to coast, could of played you two!! i had the American ver too..

great game. its one of those games that when i see it for £10.. i think about buying it again. probably my fav 'fun' driving game of all time.

Burnout Leg is great, dont get me wrong.. but theres something about the fun in C2C that just makes it a classic in my eyes.

im not really playing much on the psp at the mo, just MGS Ops.. mainly playing all the new demos (just madness and brains from the Jp land) over at pspdemocenter.com. and using the lil blighter on the web.

also.. one question!! has anyone managed to make this remote access work on the psp? its meant to turn your ps3 on and do stuff then turn it off again, for me it doesnt even turn on my ps3

still come June 11th we'll all be laughing right!

whooooop.. new demo for download chaps and chapettes....

Smash court tennis 3.. check it out at the pspdemocenter

its a great demo too, lots of play, and you will not get bored of this demo as quickly as you may of got bored of others.

it includes up to a 5 round matches plus 'fun' gameplay mode.. yes imo its the same as Vertua tennis, but as far as i can remember it seems that this has better graphics.. slightly better graphics.

gameplay wise, well im a VT man myself, but this is a good game. i dont think it plays as 'fast' but still a solid game.

try the demo!

Yeah, I tried the demo. I kind of sucked at it, but I've been playing too much VT over the years.

Anyway, I received my Euro copy of Tales of Eternia from ebay, the other day. I ordered Breath of Fire III Euro from the U.K., so I'm looking forward to that.

I'm very tempted to buy some Konami import shooters.

I think I'll get Twinbee first, but I dunno (I also want Salamader too). By getting both, I can save $7, but there's tons of PSP games I want coming in July.

yeh, had both those RPG's.. Tales of E is a cool game, lovely.

and BoF3 is an utter classic.. i remember thinking that it wa she best RPG ive played in years when playing BOF

Twinbee.. now theres a blast from the past! i love Salamanda too.. brilliant games.

im really surprised the first R_Type game on the PSP is a tacticle shooter... im not really sold on that idea!

I wish Irem made an R-Type Collection on PSP. That would be too great.

I just ordered Twinbee. A little later, I'm going to buy Salamander. I just didn't want to go too crazy, since tons of PSP games I want come out in July and I still need to get Crush maybe.

have you brought any PS1 games for the PSP over the PSN? we might get them here in Blighty next week (rumour has it).. so i think Syphon Filter and maybe Dest Derby too.. if we have them. personally i want ALL the PS1 games from the JP PSN.. they are very very cool indeed, some fantastic fighter's and shooters.

its a real shame IRem havent made the R_type colection, imagine al the R_Types inc R_Type leo on Wifi!!!

yeh, Crush looks quite cool, am i right in thinking that either its in the game or a patch is coming out so you can make your own levels? tho, i might of read wrong on that.

edit: what PSP game sare due out in July?

so we finally got PS1 games today! (hurrah)

no syphon filter (grrrr).. but i did pick up Crash Bandicoot, Wipeout and Jumping flash..

so here is a quick review on the three in case anyone out there wants to buy them from the US or JP or even the UK PSN store. but havent because you just dont know if its worth the price, hassle or if PS1 on the PSP is 'really' worth it.

Crash Bandicoot: better than i remembered! lol, the graphics are a lot better than i thought they would be, in fact (dare i say this)..but if a budget game made for psp looked like this, i would be happy. it plays like it did on the ps1..gameplay and playability wise its the very same! it plays well, if not a lil too easy so far. its a good game, a very good game.
8/10 for me!

Wipeout: after playing crash i had high expectations for this, and its not like i was disappointed but it wasnt the wow factor that crash was. the controls are as stiff as they were on the original. if anyone here remembers Wipeout2097, the controls were significatntly improved over the original. Still, i have to say that after getting used to the controls the feeling of wipeout was back! i do love the game, and even tho its not as good as 2097 or the psp incarnation.. is it worth the price? yeh! graphic wise its good.. again the psp makes it looks pretty good, no false memories here. its still a good looking game.
I would rate it 7/10

Jumping Flash.. weird or what! i never played this on the PS1, so i come to this fresh, and i really like it. DK also loved it and apparently he says that its as good as he remembers on the psp as it was on the PS1. which is a good thing, because i went and read reviews for this on some old ps1 sites, and JF was a highly rated game at the time. It was one of the first to grace the PS1, it also outstriped many games that came later in the PS1's life.
so.. youre a (or at least travelling in) a big robotic rabbit called Robbit, and in this FPS you bounce around and shoot giant frogs in arena type lands! while collecting things and having lasers and rockets and ..and... erm, brilliant, my type of game. I cant describe it, its rather unique.
plays well, looks great. I would rate it 7/10

you must also note that in all these games you can press the HOME button and change the settings like disk load speed, view (as in original, normal, zoom or full screen modes).. you can alter the blackness of the game too. some great options, with manuals to go with the games.

I will post my first impressions here of any new PS1 to PSP game that i can get from the PSN, if you dont agree with what I say or want to add something, feel free... this is an open forum after all, i want to hear what you guys think!
