Default Opinions on PSP Go!

Is it a Go! or a No Go!. I think it is nice to not have to carry around UMD's, but 249$. I'm curious to hear what others think.

its too expensive, but I will be buying one. I still have my original 1000 series JP PSP! I will not buy another unless its difefrent enough to warrant the change, I believe the PSPGo is different enough, so yeh I think I will buy it.

I buy more game soff the psn than hard disk for it at the moment, so im happy with it being UMD-less.

I want one, and the $249 price is not the problem for me.

I have a PSP 2000, but I honestly don't play it enough to justify a purchase of a PSP Go. But knowing myself I just know I will end up buying one, giving the 2000 to my brother. Maybe we can finally play FFT:The Lion's War on co-op missions. I will use that excuse

i HATE racing, i can never go around turns. the entire time i'd rather be blowing up the cars, rather than racing them. if anything, i'll play twisted metal. speaking of twisted metal, we need one for the ps3, get on it SCEA, come on.

I like it. I could rush out and buy a PSP-3000 and a 16GB MemoryStick, or I can get a PSP Go! which is smaller, and has that cooll slide opening, and fits in my pocket so very easily. The cost is almost the same, and the PSP-3000 is just so bulky (major complaint made by fanboys of another system even after the PSP slimed down from the PSP-1000).

Seriously, the cost isn't truly the issue that most people make out. If you're looking to buy a PSP, you'd have to buy a MemoryStick anyway and a 16GB one will cost you about as much as the difference between the retail price of the Go and the retail price of a 3000. So why not go for the self contained unit which is smaller anyway. Not to mention you can augment that internal 16GB with more if you desire.

erm... I guess things maybe different in the states, but a PSPGO in the UK is £230, you can buy a 3000 brand new for £100, plus a 16gig memory card online for £35 .....so its miles cheaper.

Its funny because before I cared I wanted the PspGo, totally. But thinking about it now.. yes the PSPGo is smaller, but then you get a smaller screen you dont get UMD with the GO but you do get Blutooth.

You also get 16gig flash drive, which is cool and yes its slides, but seriously for an extra £100 youre paying for a slidey thing, no UMD, less screen but added blutooth.

im just not so sure its worth it. especially with the 32gig duo cards coming out.

I think if people are new to the psp scene and havent had one before or care much about the games coming out on UMD, then I think its probably a very good console, but not everything will come out through download, so what happens if the next fav game comes out on UMD and not download? youre stuffed.

but for people who dont really have a favourite series of games and/ or just want a great lil portable media hub then the PSPGO looks to be superb.. but I dont think its for me.

on reflection, I think if I buy a PSP before the PSP2, then I think it will be a PSP3000.
