Default Wallpaper issue

I've saved a jpeg and selected to save it as wallpaper. I then zoomed out as far as I could so the white frame surrounded the whole image and then said ok.

When the background appeared onscreen it only displayed a portion of the image I wanted as wallpaper but I can't zoom out any further.

Tips for how I can correct this would be greatly appreciated.

I'm using a 20" SD tv with the cable supplied with the PS3.

Gabe.

Well, since you're using an SD TV, I would suggest only grabbing 640x480 images and saving those. Otherwise, everything else will be far too large and the PS3 won't be bale to properly scale them down. Try that and see how it works out.

Shouldn't the PS3 scale large wallpapers to fit? If you can view photos of any size, there should not be a problem with wallpapers of all sizes.

Dmitry uses an SD TV, I'll ask him to test it out.

Yeah it should scale images down. The only probably i would see is between a Widescreen wallpaper and a non-widescreen wallpaper.

I will test it out and see what is the actual problem later tonight.

Its actually a very intuitive function that allows you to zoom and move around the frame that you want displayed as the wallpaper, so technically any size image will work. I do have an HDTV, but it worked with wallpapers of higher than supported resolutions and also low resolutions. I was even able to grab one of our PSP Wallpapers and stretch it (not very good results on HDTV).

I had the same problem.... I have the widescreen version. Wwhen you select the pic it looks like it doesn't fit the screen and the size in the right corner says 66% or something and I expanded it to 100%. After you do that if you select it it will be way to big for the actual screen. If you leave it at the pre-determined size of 66% or whatever and just select it as it is, it WILL actually fill the complete screen even though it only says it at like 66%

And on a side note, the HEAVENLY SWORD demo is AWESOME
