Default possible ps3 Firmware 1.81 due for Europe???

taken from ps3.qj.net

"There's an ongoing discussion underway over at the Official PlayStation Europe forum threads, and it pertains to the possible release of the PlayStation 3's firmware 1.81. This point was brought up by thread member Stoshy the other day, when the thread poster contacted Sony regarding a display problem. Going into the details of the post :

"After the last update we had, i changed the display setting to RGB full, lovely, rich colours and blacks....great. The problem i notice now is this, when i power up the machine the screen is back on the limited colour setting although if i look in the display setting it still says full!"

Follow-up Stoshy's call to Sony's PS hot-line, the company later called back, and indicated that they already knew about the display problem, and that a new firmware was being prepped and readied. The date of this new firmware's release? Either Thursday (June 14), or Friday (June 15). That's all for the moment - it doesn't appear that the new firmware is expected to fix the previously reported PAL compatibility issues that were missed for firmware 1.80. "

i havent noticed this, but i remember putting the RGB on 'full' the other day, and havent noticed any difference. but there is obviously a problem!

any Brits here noticed anything?

and lets hope if there is a FW update that they put a few PS1/PS2 emu updates in there too!!!!

Not noticed but the US guys get 1.81 to fix this according to the main PSXE story so I would have thought we should too.
