O.K. so last night I'm rockin' R6V 2 online, and this jerk starts accusing me of being a camper and gets me kicked off!! Look guy...you wanna boot me because I'm serving it to ya than do what you gotta do, but don't accuse me of things I'm not. It's not my fault you have predictable patterns and obvious hiding spots.
Here's the deal...you watch me for more than a the time to respawn and you'll see I'm constantly on the move...YES, I take cover for a second to get my bearings, reload, or try to figure out where that hail of bullets are coming from but I DON'T CAMP!!!!!!!!!! YES, if I pass a window looking outside I'll scan the area, but if no ones around I move on!!!
My main genre is race, sport, and GTA so I'm very new to this first person shooter (like two months new!) so tell me if these behaviors I just described are out of line. I thought that's what cover was for but I could be wrong. or maybe the guy was just being a duesche bag. but let me know what the "proper etiquette" is.

lol, dont worry about it. i got banned from RFOM mainly (i think) because some guy was standing in a door way and i rifle butted him, but you cant damage your own team mates, it was more of a statement. i just wanted him to move!

next thing i know i got a banning!



so dont worry, theres plenty of idiots online, just dont be one of them!


R6V2 is great online though isnt it? (when it works well) im sure you wont come across that guy again, and if you do.. shoot him in the head (in the game)...

To me camping is spending the whole game in one spot. The main propblem I have with this is if you are targeting a spawn point and/or if you are using some sort of glitchy location to hide where there is almost no chance of anyone else being able to locate or kill you in return. I am happier about a guy who finds a good vantage point and then covers his team while they make progress and that sort of behaviour.

indeed, i love to camp with a sniper rifle. especially on BF2 online on the ps2.. find a mountain side, settle down and just pick people off, help the team, and just chill.. love it.

I bought R6V2 about a week ago while I was still at home in PA and I've played it once since. I was so excited about it but I just really was kinda put off by T-Hunts this game, and how annoying some things were, such as how you could walk past a little 5 foot allyway that is empty when you look at it, turn the other way, and the AI would literally spawn 2 feet from you in a spot you just looked at.

I havent had time to give the other modes a shot yet but THunt is what we used to play on the first so that's what I was looking forward to.

T-Hunts are great imo, though ive never seen them to spawn like that for me, I figured they are all there in the level and despatched as you trigger certain areas off. I could be wrong though.. but thats what it seems to me.

love the single player of this game way more than the online side.

If you can't kill a camper you SUCK at shooters anyway and shouldn't play, so I don't really worry about campers. If you're camping, you're nothing more than a stationary target so far as I'm concerned.
