i just got my ps3 a few months ago and am getting bored of playing demos. what shooter do you guys recommend for online multiplaying. i played the lost planet demo and it seems pretty fun but i haven't seen COD4 yet and army of two was disappointing. help me to find a good game

well, I love Lost Planet, but only the single player, the online demo doesnt really show off the game, so imo i would wait til thats very cheap before you try... unless likeme you just want it.

CoD4 is prossibly the best shooter (FPS) online, its an incredible experience, it really is. amazing graphics, amazing sound, great ranking system that you just dont get tired of (much)..new maps on their way, amazing game.

RFOM is damn good too, but its a different pace of game, and the single player is way longer. probably cheaper than th eother two due to it being a launch game. but over all, its one hell of a game.

UT3 is also the mutts nuts as they say online, but pretty short single player mode (but at least you can play that CoOp online), As UT has always been an online frag fest of a game.. its not a run and shoot type of game its a shoot shoot type of game, lol. but with user made maps and mods, this will never get old.

so..

COD4: short Single player, brlliant online

RFOM: great single player, long and interesting and very good online play

UT3: short single player, fast and frantic online.

really, these are the PS3's best shooters.. i cant pick between them, thats why i have all three.

I have one FPS for my PS3, Unreal Tournament 3. It is a pick up and shoot type of game. You don't need much tactics, just blast the others to bits with fun weapons and also the user created content makes UT3 most unique.
and I am not really into so many FPS games, but the UT series have always been my favorite.

Between UT3 and CoD4, I'd say UT3.

If you're a fanatic about strategy and realism, CoD4 is great. Definately for the more skilled FPS gamers.

Personally, I prefer UT3, it's more Halo-esque, although I do prefer Halo3, but that's for the 360, not PS3! Run around at a fast pace, shoot, kill, shoot, kill. I really enjoy CTF (Capture The Flag) on UT3 btw. Also plenty of user generated content, so that's a plus.

Also note, Haze is coming out soon, and it might be good, might not be... I believe a demo is on the way.
