I have a PS3. I have a PS3 guitar that came with guitar hero III. My PS3 plays PS2 games.

Why can't I play guitar hero II for PS2 with my PS3 guitar??

Is there an adapter I can get or do I really have to buy another guitar to play the PS2 versions of the game??

im afraid it just wont work, ive tried. anyway, you playing on a 60 gig ps3? you from the US or EU?

anyway fact is that on the EU/PAL GH2 is a bit messed up. now this could be just down to emu for the EU PS3's but when you get to the Vans stage in GH2 all the songs bug out on you and freeze up the game.. i know i was gutted.

but even if it plays perfectly, there is nothing you can do with playing the PS3 guitar with the PS2 games ..its possible that one day they will release a patch for this, but to be honest i doubt they will.
