I finally tested it out, must be honest and say that it is not the best game. The graphic seems a little last generation, and have last generation graphic in 1080p doesn't help. Makes it just more messy.

Removing the game's biggest obstacle to enjoying it may not mean the rest of the game is actually enjoyable. There were a few reviews at the time Lair came out that went as far as saying that the game itself was fairly bland and generic and little more than a PS2 game with HD graphics, so the controls aren't necessarily the only thing holding it back.
A few comments I've seen have said that the Sixaxis controls still aren't entirely removed. Things like the quick 180 degree turn still use motion controls and could do with being more responsive. Ultimately then I suppose it depends on how cheap you can find it, or how easy it would be to find it for rental first. It definitely seems to be one of the PS3's more love/hate type of games. |

I played it for an hour now, and it really don't grab me, the intention for the game were probably nice, but I think they rushed it out the doors. Even though they spent like 3-4 years on the game. It all come down to gameplay and story for me though.
It is a bit awkward to control the dragon with sixaxis motion control and the analogue controls, when fight a dragon head to head. It is difficult to attack it using the analogue sticks, so they really didn't heal any problem. I will give it another go and see if I can handle it better with practice. But doubt I will stick to the game for long.
