to be honest. i hate the chip.. all my games play so nearly there.
the only game that looks better than it did on the PS2 is Tenchu WoH.. weird that. looks amazing, seriously... But with GTA: SA and GT4.. Sony havent still sorted those out for perfect emulation its just okish. seeing a stheyre 'BIG' games, i would of thought they would of sorted those out before now.Dark Cloud2 runs well as does GoW2, but FFXIII looks BAAAAAAAAD! thankgod i was playing it on the ps2 before i got a HD Telly and PS3, so i know how nice it should look. i do hope Sony continue to develope updates for the 80/60gb machines.

I have a 80GB PS3, and Rogue Galaxy plays great. I got some new PS2 games for Christmas. Hopefully, they will play great as well. Quick question: I used the PS2 adapter thing. Does that mean that all PS2 and PS1 games will work on the PS3?

What does the PS2 adapter thing do exactly?

I used the HDMI cord (the three plugs, red, yellow, and white) that came with the PS3 box, but that didn't make my PS3 work. So then I used the PS2 adapter, and that worked on it. I guess it lets the PS3 work on old TVs, because I have an old TV, not and HD one.

That's not an HDMI cord; that's just a regular A/V cable. HDMI is one plug on each end, and it's the only way to have true high-definition (provided the TV is also HD).

The cable you got with the PS3 should have worked fine on any TV with the red/white/yellow inputs. Sounds like you may have had a faulty cable.
