i own a PlayStation 3 but i want to know why have Sony stopped making 60gb playstation 3 now they only make 40gb ps3 why

The 40gb are more cost effective and they feel the lower pricing will attract more customers.

I think it's worth commenting that if I had a 40gb rather than 60gb machine I would long ago run out of storage space.

..its true tho, if people had of stopped whinning about the amazing deal they were in actual fact getting with a PS3, maybe sony would of kept making the 60gigs.. but it came under a lot of fire.

and its not like the cost wasnt warranted either, because its not like they just lowered the cost of the machine, they had to physically make a cheaper (not inferior) console.

but the Japan they have 80gig machines, this time next year we will have these im sure, and maybe even 120gig ones.

with TV tuner coming to Europe, we will need a much bigger HD, and im sure Sony knows it.. thats one of the reason why i got a big ext drive, so i can start getting my movies and music packed away before all these games like DMC come out where i will need 5gig in order for load free gaming, lol.

Yeah its true, and as they continue to lower the price, etc, it will make the ps3 even more desireable :0................
