Like I said I have had no problems online playing games or no problems with my mic and I was on an old BT broadband package...
Until yesterday.... I didnt even realise but my mum had bought a laptop and ordered the BT Home Hub about a week ago and it came yesterday.

I set it all up last night and my internet was fine and I played a co-op match of Warhawk with a mate and it was fine but I didnt check out my mic.
Hope it hasn't messed anything up!

Its good.. but Sony need to make some patch where these changes happen where they need to and turn them off and on where appropriate.

If I do all this do I always keep them off?
When would I need them on?
What does the HDMI 24fps mean if you turn that off?

Its just im getting PES2008 on Friday and there has been alot of complaints about slowdown.
So I want to see if this will help.

well, you can keep most off, and make a note (if you like) about the ones you have changed.. how i did it was to follow what this guy said then anything else that had the option of "on, off or automatic" i would turn off...

most of the things youre turning off are internet media things and dvd/brd/ps1/ps2 stuff.. so it shouldnt affect PES, just improve it.


you should post and let us all know what you think.. i really hate footie games, but even im tempted. I had PES3, and enjoyed that until a friend of mine came over.. trashed me and i never played it again since.

anyway, who said there is slow down in PES? was it a reliable source? a couple of sites have given the PS3 version very high scores... so i do wonder.

i might go and look that one up myself. i played the demo for Fifa.. and i hated it. even my GF's brother who swears that Fifa is better than PES (lol.. i know he must be blind) said it was rubbish compared to the PS2 version. his exact words were "different from the PS2 and rubbish"..

Internet media things as if you were browsing the internet using your PS3?
As I never do that so I could keep them off.

IGN mentioned the slow down aswel.
So it is definately there.
Apparantly if you install bits to your HD though it makes it better so I will do that aswel.

I read on one of those 2 sites aswel that when Konami compared the PS3 version and the X360 version running side by side, they could notice more slowdown in the PS3 version but they dont know why.
Seabass has said aswel that there wont be any downloadable content for it either but if it is really as bad as some people say surely they will have to see if they can make a patch to fix it.

EDIT: Oh and I've played the full version of Fifa. Its better than the demo but its still awful in my opinion. Still too slow and un-responsive and not at all fluid.
PES6 on the PS2 is better imo.
