Could this be one of the reasons for the delay of Home?

I seem to recall hearing somewhere that GT5 and Home are going to be quite integrated so I wouldn't say it's out of the question that they would want to make both available at the same time,with the view that one will compliment the launch of the other.

Yep. We should have been expecting it with the open beta website STILL not being.. well.. open.

If they'd thought about it they could release HOME in stages. Give us our apartments soon/now then release other elements as and when they are ready. HOME doesn't strike me as something which will ever be truly finished as I'm sure they hope it will be ever growing so why not drip bits out as soon as they are ready?
