Although this sounds like an impressive demonstration of what to expect from the full GT5 game and the franchise in the future, I can't help but feel 45€ or £30 is a little too expensive when I'd be expecting the full game to only be around £40.

As the US market is less likely to swallow high prices than us in Europe, could that be part of what is holding them back from releasing it there? How many Americans would pay $60 for a cut of a game when they'd surely be expecting to pay that for the full release next year?

I thought they would price it the same as GT4 prologue. The UK release was £20 with the full game following at £40. That sound about right to me.

I'm not saying I won't get it as I most likely will BUT it won't be as painless paying for it as I would have liked.

is that for hard copy or on the psn?

its quite possible that it might well be £20 for the game in the shops like GT: P.

i guess we'll have to wait.. i wonder when both will be coming out??!!

BR copy is 45€/£30. Download will be about 30€/£20 but not have damage.

Play.com might be cheaper.

Thats true, forgot about PLAY.

thing is though.... if the BR version is 6 weeks after the PSN version.. crash damage or no damage.. you still going to wait for the BR one?

Denfinitely. I don't have the extra cash to pay out twice and the BR one takes priority for me. With Warhawk I wasn't really bothered about the BR version.

i dont know what im going to do.. if its 6 weeks later, i will probably buy it online.

but really, it shouldnt be like Warhawk.. i reckon it could even be in the same week! well i hope its released in the same week as the PSN version anyway!

Sony UK have stated that the UK version of prologue will NOT cost 45€ and that the price is still to be agreed. This is according to IGN: http://uk.ps3.ign.com/articles/819/819555p1.html

I'm guessing it'll be priced the same as WarHawk. £19.99/$39.99 seems fair. It maybe only the Prologue version but it better than some full priced racing games.

£19.99 will position it same as GT4 prologue which I have absolutely no problem with. Still can't find anywhere to take preorders

That reminds me, I need to go and register a preorder for the full GT5 for next Spring/Summer.

So if I'm reading this:http://www.psxextreme.com/ps3-news/1881.html right, GT5 prologue is a FREE download and then the more expanded version with damage etc will be released in Dec?

Sweet though they could be losing out on some cash there by not charging for the dl. I guess they could be hoping that people who were debating buying prologue will dl the cut down free version and then just 'have' to get the full version before the end of the year.

I hope the tactic works out for them.
