Probably not because then they could claim you would be able to install to your HD and then get your money back at the shop (or sell it to a mate) while still being able to play.

The problem is most people wouldn't break the law but because the tiniest number of people would, they spoil it for the rest of us. Much like most of these regulations and censorships.

they could put a disk check, and make sure that the disc is in. that's what PC games do 99% of the time.

i take it that no one still has no idea of the download file size? rather important if going for that option.

I think i will probably buy the hard copy, but depends how muich cheaper it really is...

buy it! unless u have an 80gig ps3. dnldn is faster than booting up but takes too much space. an youll be there all night, but its great to have a choice.

I figure if it were to allow you to load to the harddrive from the disc, it would have a disc check as well, like Sunny says.
I also don't have a PS3 but I was reading the thread anyways, and it makes me wonder, is there a split screen multiplayer? If there is I'd figure it would make some sense to want to buy the game on disc, simply for the fact if you game with friends, say you both have PS3s and you go over to their place to play some games, you can just bring the disc instead of the whole system (or you could let them borrow the game). But I guess there's online multiplayer for that now, so the good old days of friends actually hanging out in the same room to play games doesn't really happen so much anymore I suppose.
