Default Just got a PS3

Hey guys, i'm a fairly old gamer, i've been gaming since i was 3, but i got the PS3 a few days ago and i'm having trouble connecting it to the internet wirelessly it asks me for all this stuff i'm not sure what it is, can someone help me?

sure, we can help out... tell us what your problems are and we'll see what we can do.

have you got a psp? because the setting up of a wireless connection on that is pretty much the same as setting it up on the PS3...

Yeah i got a PSP and i can get on with it just fine.

I use verizon Fios for my internet, i input the info and it says its obtaining my IP then it says it failed and that the IP timed out.

Make sure your router is using the latest firmware. That solved issues that I had with PS3 wireless connectivity.

Verizon Fios provides a wireless router, give me the model number on that router. I will tell you exactly what to do after i can get that info. Also if necessary we will have to put in ip setting automatically.
