It upscales UP TO 1080p. Meaning, it does everything in between.

Question

Does the firmware fix the problem of movies from the hard drive or usb drives having output of only dolby digital 2.0 even if the movies are formatted to have 5.1 dolby digital sound?

Thank you.
Russ.

Urban... hit me up man! Do I have you on my friends list already? We need to hook up on some R:FOM, Viva La Resistance!!

I know you've gotta be dying for some next gen Socom as bad as I am. I hope this new developer for Socom doesn't muff it up. With the current lineup of games right now, most likely I'll be into Graw 2 and Army of Two too much for Socom this year. Also Mercenaries and Haze are on the horizon both dripping with some awesome multiplayer goodness, its gonna be a excellent year online. Now only prob is trying to find time to actually play all of those and still squeeze in MotorStorm, and those R:FoM maps coming.

The upscaling of dvd's, PS1, and PS2 games was a great update. But I've notice some problems with my PSP losing the signal from my PS3 while watching videos during remote play. It use to work just fine before the update though, not sure if it's just me or what though.

I absolutely love this upgrade. I've been going through my PS1/PS2 games testing them upscaled. The DVD upscaling is superb (like on my anime).

Since this came out I haven't played a DVD OR an of my PS2 games. I did run a PS1 demo disc and never noticed a change.

I must remember to test it out this weekend.

Pro Evo 6 looks a lot better when your playing.
Not so much when it zooms in on the replays etc..
The update has also fixed the b/c for PES6 too as there is no more slow down
