Sounds ok to me. The 1 player mode is there simply to facilitate learning how to play the multiplayer.

when do you think we will get this?

hmm, the reviews must have hit him as he's delayed it (see article on main page for more details). I wonder what he could be changing?
One of the complaints was lack of content. They could have released the game now, then released additional cars and tracks at a later date. FOC of course.
