soul calibur 3 is bad.. tho BattleField Modern combat is cool (but what about Sonys buddy killzone!!)

its cool that MGS3 is good.. shame Konami are closing the servers

pah.... to be honest, they say that over 1,700 PS2 games will work, but to what standard eh?

if you ask me, far more PS1 games seem to work from what ive seen than PS2.. though i am just looking at games i own, rather than every one under the list.


anyway, its not like i care.. i will only be using it for Shadow of the Colossus of which it works fine... shame about FFXII, GTA:SA and Killzone.. very very surprised about those three.

Yeah, I saw the site. Somewhat easier to use than the one Sony setup for the U.S. (having to search for the games by typing up the name). The BC for Europe turned out better than I thought, but it is kind of sad to see some great games don't work yet.

Since Sony is trying to emulate the EE via software, then they test every single game. If some games play just fine via software, they'll consider it good. If there are issues, Sony will eventually go through and resolve it, to make it work. They don't have to do what MS does, which is emulate every game seperately (due to not owning some of the Xbox hardware rights, like the graphics chip).

I knew someone who was a BC games tester for SCEE (I believe around Liverpool), but I never asked him how Sony chooses.
