When do you plan to get the PS3? - Page 2

i see where you and sunny are coming from.. i guess with there being two versions, the cheaper of the two will be cheap much sooner and at a much more affordable price than any playstation has ever been.

when there was only a PS1 or PS2, it took years before it came down to a reasonable price, so i guess theres much more scope for this to happen sooner with the ps3.

If you believe paying $600 for a console just for 1 game is worth it well then i can't say much but i think that's a little steep just to play 1 game. And not having an HDTV it automatically takes away 90% of all the features on the PS3 that i would/could use.

I think at the moment it's only worth it if you have an HDTV.

I still don't have an XBox 360 and don't expect to buy it until Price Drop or Halo 3.

I jumped ship and bought a Xbox360 back in july - glad I did. I think I'm going to pass on the PS3. The Xbox360 already has many great games, and plus tons of moives and TV Shows to download.

for me, i hope to get one on launch day, but you cant even preorder a ps3 here yet!

personally £400 or e599 (60gig) i think is worth it for the PS3. im not saying i can afford it, as i cant and will have to save up for it.. but i do think its worth it.

If you use all the features, yes it's definitely worth it. Also a yes that Resistance is really really really sweet, but so is RR7 and a few others. Yes I have a 50inch 1080i LCD (close enough for me

), and I can still play PS2 games to boot... yeah worth it to me. Rock on PS3...Rock on.

I think its actually worth waiting at least till this time next year or later in 08. The price is going to take a drastic drop eventually, and the game library will be proven by then, not to mention most of the bugs taken out of the system. Just makes sense all around, and im sure what im missing can be made up easily...

Eh...I don't think it's a good idea to wait that long. There should be plenty of great games this year, and plenty more in '08. It's tough to play them all at once, so I wouldn't advise any avid gamer to wait another year.

Ive had mine on preorder with play.com since July so hopefuly I'll get one at launch whenever that is, march my arse I'll belive it when I see it.

There are a few games im interested in, infact far more than any other launch before and hopefuly Gabe will be swayed to get one sooner rather than later so we can get together for online japes.

While I think about it, does anyone know if Formula one can be played online, im quite the seepdy bastard on f1 games, be good to see how I compare with other people, and find out im actually shite
