True RPG's from the old days dont exist that much anymore, because people demand more and more and before you know it the series you love has changed so much that you can hardly recognise it (FF ..cough cough).

there are few games out there which stick to their roots and grow (imo) in the correct and healthy way for an RPG series to grow to retain its fan base, one such series for me is Dragon Quest, hasnt changed much.. changes platform more than the mechanics, lol.

But though FF has changed, I think theyre on the right track, for me FFXIII is one hell of a game, might not be FF of old, but still superb.

yes ur absolutely right. i dont think this is an rpg, but take army of two for example. the 2nd one basically has 2 different characters picking up on the real salem and rios's story. it only took 2 games 2 derail what made the game in my opinion. compare it 2 syphon filter, the whole series, starting from ps1, to the latest ps2 games. gabriel logan sounds the same, looks the same, and still has the same attitude as to what it takes 2 be an agent. same characters and all, lian xing is still with him. it jus doesnt make sense as 2 y army of 2 did tht in the sequel

God of War also has some RPG elements. With upgrading weapons and magic and what-not. Though it has too much action adventure to be called an RPG.

Funny comment Benny - trust me I don't consider GTA and GOW RPG's so not worries - I picked up Final Fantasy last night so should have some fun with that soon!

If you're looking for PS3 RPGs, you've started looking at the right time. Once you're done with FFXIII, I'd recommend checking out White Knight Chronicles and/or Resonance of Fate. Those two are your best bet.

I'd say you should you should definitely get Demon's Souls and White Knight Chronicles

To me, those two are the best rpgs since Final Fantasxy XII (2006)
