I am playing sims 2 pets and am looking for cheat codes. I found some but it says to activate cheat gnome and i cant seem to figure out how to do that.....can someone help

I found a gnome code on GameFAQs:

Enter during gameplay:
L1,L1,R1,X,X,Up - Gnome Code

I'm not sure if that means it brings up a gnome display to enter codes, or if there will be a gnome object you can then buy that allows you to enter the other cheats. Try looking in the decorative section, if Pets has that.
