I wanted to get it, really liked the 1st one.

It still says you can pre-order it from play.com though?

Because play is Jersey so they can get round the illegality (sort of).

It's not illegal for them to sell it but it is illegal for us to buy it I think.

This game shouldn't be banned whatever the violence level, should just be given a suitable certification and if that mean creating a new one then so be it.

Considering some of the gratuitous violence I've seen in movies this has really pissed me off. It's a game for crying out loud! Not real life or even depicting real people!

I read this in the paper on the way to work. I really enjoyed the first and was looking forward to the second incarnation. But if it comes to PSP then that would be the way forward....

i think it all comes down to that chap who 'lured' his 'mate' in to a park and killed him with a hammer, blamed it on Manhunt.

remember?

i mean, what utter toss! I might go out and steal a car and blame it on Driv3r, or stab someone with my samurai sword and blame Tenchu..

I have a three choice words for these guys who rate the games... GET A LIFE.

i totally agree it should be an adult only game, but like ive always said about GTA, I will say about any other game. when someone says that they have done wrong because of a computer game, they are mostly always under age for the game they have just blamed.

so, we dont get this because we cant trust that UK shop keepers wont sell to minors and that the parents dont care about their kids... cheers.

I'll import the psp version if it hasnt sold out on the very day it comes out.. geeeeze, talk about hyping a game! lol, this is more hype than the first got.

in a lot of ways. this is perfect for R*..i hope they make enough psp copies for the demand I feel that they may come under!

I think the first one should have been banned for being such a shitty game.

I dunno really, to be honest after doing some research for my exam (which I sat today!), my opinion on game violence has changed a little. On one hand, banning material is very extreme and probably not the way to go, but some of these games are pretty immersive. Yeah, surely parents shouldnt let their kids have these kind of games, especially if there's something wrong with them, but is it really worth risking it? Is it worth one kid getting hurt or even stabbed/killed because a game has influenced another kid (no matter how crazy or susceptible to violent material this kid is), just so people can play this game?

Don't get me wrong, I totally disagree with banning and censorship, but games like this that are just made so you can go round and kill people- no I've not played it, but lets be truthful, having heard whats in it theres barely any story- there should surely be some kind of strong certification or law on it.

Well Goten, if you think about all the people who get killed by stupid idiots in cars, shouldn't we ban cars because some morons can't keep a grip on what they are doing.

I have played plenty of violent games and I still like to think I'm generally a calm friendly person. I shouldn't be penalised because some people can't separate reality. I would apply the same thoughts to gun ownership but that is for a different thread.

First of all I did say banning the game entirely was extreme and I don't see how you are being penalised. If it gets banned, you don't get to play on one mediocre game. There's plenty of others out there that are probably a hell of a lot better and I know thats not your point but it may as well be said.

Secondly, you're comparing a mode of transport to a form of entertainment, yes there are idiots on the road but I really doubt the majority of accidents are caused by people who dont have a grip.

I understand that the majority, or if any at all, of child deaths (from attacks) dont come from games either and I think banning a game because some kid, who obviously had issues of some sort, claims to have been influenced by Manhunt 1 is ludicrous. But is it really worth the risk? I can understand where these committee people are coming from (especially considering they probably aren't game players) and I agree that the current age rating system should be changed to incoporate some kind of Adult Only stamp like in the US.
