Default Super Mario III is still the best Mario ever

You may agree with me at any time

If we're talking strictly 2D platform, sure. But of all Marios, Super Mario RPG and Super Mario 64 are probably my personal favorites.

Mario 64 is the correct answer here.

Ryan is correct.
It had the best power ups and the most levels.
It was also revealed in the best movie ever.

The Wizard!

"I love the Power Glove!"

And I personally don't see the appeal of Mario 64. I HATED the wonky camera. I didn't play it until after I played Ocarina of Time, though, which probably severely biased my ability to appreciate Mario 64.

Why do you have to hate everything Ryan, jeez?

The first time I played through the entire thing was last year and I still loved it (I never had a 64 but my roommate brough his with last year, so I got to play all the great N64 games all the way through for the first time. Mario 64 was by far my favorite). The camera was never a big problem for me. The biggest thing with it was how innovative it was at the time, but I really think it's a great game in it's own right.

Mario 64 was great but that's all it was. SMB3 was a far better game. Hell i thought the original Paper Mario was better for the N64 then Mario 64.

No it's a good game, not saying it's not, I hated the CAMERA, not the game. I beat Super Mario 64 twice, but I just don't think it's 'best Mario ever' caliber.
