Three Steps for the Backup of the Film
1.Capture 2.Processing 3.Burn Process: As for the piece part, usually the burnt film can’t play normally due to the complex construction of original profile, which makes you have to try several software to check. Burn: But it is better that the system contains the built-in burning software in case that there is contention between the burning software and make copying stop. In addition, choosing the blank disc is very important too as the poor quality film will cause so much mosaic and it can not convert the files quickly, even the files can not be recognized. Tips: If your DVD contains commercial materials, you can use the shareware to avoid the influence on the original disc. Last edited by cAtDaFeLiX : 05-21-2008 at 05:42 PM. Although I fully support our right to make a single backup of all media I think this will be viewed as piracy assistance and will be removed or at least edited by mods.

I used a similar process recently to rip a region 1 DVD from eBay that wouldn't play on my region 2 player, then burned it onto a blank DVD-R. That plays fine with no loss of quality while the original disc just gives the region-locked message. All using free software too, which I was very pleased with.
It's exactly the same process as making pirated copies so probably does fall foul of the forum rules, though the rules only specifically mention piracy of games. |

The ripping problem when compressing DVD
I bought a DVD the day before yesterday, feeling it so classic. However, I would like to compress the DVD and convert it into *.rmvb files for sharing with friends on the Internet. Then the problems come up. For ripping DVD, I use to help complete the conversion task. Mode->settings, file mode->none After finishing these steps, there are still multiple *.vob files. The second DVD Open one of *.vob files and let it directly play on the player. The audio and video are out of sync. While playing DVD on the player, they keep sync. Could any expert about it help me? Then continue: Did it divide the audio and video into two parts after ripping DVD? If you rip DVD with stash 10, some videos will be lost, but there are just only two *.vob files on DVD. Here I give it up and consider other software: Last edited by cAtDaFeLiX : 05-21-2008 at 05:40 PM. Reason: removed info on ripping software |
