Crikey. There I was complaining because I had a bit of ice on my rear window yesterday morning. Guess I should be thankful.

Sounds like you're experiencing the same thing we're getting here. We had such nice weather, then a crappy snowstorm the day I was set to drive back home (a 10 hour drive turned into 13 hours). Then the weather was fine til I was driving back. Then it was nice for 3 days, and the snow came again and left St Johnsbury breaking a century old snowfall record. Then currently it's been nice again, but earlier I was watching sleet falling against my window, which is hopefully a fluke.

I suppose though that you got nailed a lot harder on the one day than we have recently, but this winter has been really harsh here. Where's this global warming that I've been waiting for?

We were on the south end of that storm here in Great Falls, Montana, Cat. Set a new record for snowfall in that two-day period (15 inches total). Also, we set a new record low that night (8 below, F). Then it was in the 70s (F) about three days later. Pretty wild.
