Well guys, leaving in the morning for Montreal!
Will see ya all when I return Monday night
Gonna have to Tivo the race, cause just not gonna be the same without the smart ass lol commentators! Been told to bring ear plugs >.> Haven't decided if I'll go to all practice sessions yet, but very likely I will.

Aside from that, I hear the things to do in Montreal are strip clubs and bars O.o um, hope I can find more than that! LOL

Montreal strip-clubs = <3 lol The memories.....

Now I'm going to vent....huge.

So, with the Canadian GP, your nice cable service and prob the the goverment of Canada CRTC blacked out Speed channel practice, qualifying and the main race.

Now, for one race out of the year I can prob deal with it. I watch if they show it on speed later on the week to get a better viewing experience.

So, I missed the practice today cause of this bs blackout, and from what I read it was pretty interesting due to wet conditions. Now get this. TSN wont show the live qualifying.................instead, it will show it at 11pm saturday night (A full 12 hours after) in a 1hr condensed version 9They cut out 30min of it). of course watching any type of sports channel I'll be able to find out spoilers. Also, TSN is known to start a delayed program and have a ticker run on the bottom spoiling the entire show.

Also, the commentary on the qualifying is done by a asshat in the studio and some old guy who is only on the phone from the race. It's not the reg british guys who do the main GP race......

Now with the main GP day on Sunday. TSN carries it, and for some reason the speed channel coverage of it is transfered to the FOX network who really shouldn't be doing anytype of sports. I'm not sure if the guys from speed are doing the commentary or not. It's prob nascar guys....

Of course when the GP ends, TSN cuts out the drivers interviews halfway or even all of it.

To end it all, the reason why the qualifying is not live, is cause they are having a Live Euro 2008 show/game. So, TSN is Canadian, it's the ****ing 30th year the race has been held in Canada so no mildstone there.......you got to be ****ing kidding me.

So I recorded the F1 qualifying off of tsn. The forst session there was 0 commentary. Then it kicked in 2nd session with the uk guys. Talk about bs. Lewis last lap was classic and a good show to score pole. Speed channel is going to show the race on wednesday morning which I plan to watch. I didn't record the race today due to this no commentary bs. I'll let you guys know what I think of it on wednesday. lol

Rookie mistake by Hamilton. I can understand how he may have expected the train to have passed but he should have still been looking for the red light. Upside was a podium for Coulthard. Long overdue.

Yeah, saw the accident right infront of me.

Funny thing is, why did they all pit at once? Well... Timing really, and the pace car which came out WHY?!? Sutil, whom in Monaco was knocked out cause of a mistake Kimi made... ROFL, irony how Sutil's **** up in Canada lead to everyone pitting, and Hamilton giving it to Kimi from behind!

Oh well. It was amazing to see in person, but most of all...

I knew nothing about Canada other than it was simply my neighbor to the North, and that the area I was going to was the more French influenced region...

I return to the United States with alot of respect for my neighbors up there, and have the pleasure of knowing that Montreal and its people are without question... Good people! More so than I can say about people here.

I didn't hit the clubs as I was overly worn out from going to practice, qualifying, and the race. As I found out, the walk from The Fairmont Queen Elizabeth, to the metro, to the park, and the long f'in walk to grandstand 1... WAS KILLER! My feet and legs are still sore. Haha, was no mention of "you better be in damn good physical shape to survive getting to and from these seats you lazy ass american! LOL" lol

I did walk around the city though in the Bonaventure area, saw some of the stuff around St. Catherine Street. Ate at a pizza place near the Burger King there. Was quite different from pizza here in the US as I know it. Very good though! LOL... Burger King though.. Haha, now that was amusing to me! The menu from a US perspective was kinda warped, lol, but I wasn't in the US, so makes sense!

Friday night ate at a restaurant called The Manhattan, was very good. Saturday night I decided to have a swing with the French restaurant at the hotel, The Beaver Club... Anyone else think that sounds like a strip club? HAHA! Yes, I kind of got an idea of the Beaver history behind Canada, lol, Beaver moscots for cell phones too.

All in all, races, first time REALLY outside The Divided Imperial G.W. Bush Empire (*cough* politics... *cough*) and first time I ever felt comfortable in a big city. Heh, go figure, comfortable in a foreign city, scared s***less of my own cities!

Next year, not sure where I'll go, but I'm thinking it might be fun to go elsewhere, and not only get to see the races again, but see new places!

On that note...

I end this post! (finally!)

Red means go and press down on the pedal lol. Damn Lewis! I thought Kimi was going to punch Lewis when he walked up to him.

From that crash last year to 1st for 2008 = ownage. Kubica is the man and drove perfect. Couthard earned a sweet 3rd place finish. Good overall race and it was a shame I had to wait until today to watch it due to the screwups and bs crap that TSN puts out.

A couple of mistakes around the track and wtf at the pitlane crash that Nakajima did lol.

Montreal is a great city man, I hope to be at next years F1 race there. Good food, night life and hot chicks!

Well, the power went out while I was gone, so the TIVO failed to record it since the cable box turned off. Grrrr!

Found a download of it though, and watched that.

The accident as it really was, was actually alot different from what was more or less thought to have happened. Most people there talking about even after the race were under the impression Nico and Kimi were having it out at the exit forcing Kimi to break and yeild to Nico, with Lewis deciding to give it Kimi from behind. Turns out after watching it... LMAO... Wow. What a dumb error!

Haha, but David Hobbs (commentator for Speed TV) said it best when Varsha mentioned there being no signs of bad weather with thunder...

"No nothing too thundering at the moment, except in the Hamilton camp! There will be alot of thunder there between Dad and Lad I think for one thing! Excuse me son, didn't you see that red light. No dad, I didn't."

ROFL

and Varsha coming back with "Like young drivers talking to their fathers everywhere. Don't you think I'd have stopped if I saw it?!"

HAHA! Burn!

LOL, I replayed that Nakajima crash a few times.
In the end, seeing Kubica win was enough for me. Really wanted to see Lewis win, but oh well. One thing was for certain, there were a lot of angry Ferrari fans out there! Most of them screaming out at Hamilton as he walked down pit lane, booing him. Bah.

I agree with the ITV commentators that the team has to take some of the responsibility. They should have told Hamilton to watch for the red light.

Nakajima crash was a wierd on. Of all the places he could have stopped

Pretty good race. Trulli got a good pos and it's nice to have some different people on the top 3 and in the interview room rather than Kimi, Massa and Lewis all the time. Typing that reminds me of the schumacher years lol.

Lilltle rain near the end of the race and the right between Trulli and Kovalainen was a good fight. Kimi's car was lucky even to get to 2nd place due to that car damage/screw loose? lol. Lewis just can't cut a break these last 2 races. lol. We are getting to halfway point on the next gp and the title is still up for grabs. Good season so far and it's always interesting.

My late post is again due to Speed switching over to "Fox" channel for race coverage. I have to watch it on Speed on Wednesday lol. (Canada, France and now the British GP) So hopefully they will be back on track after this GP race.

In the news, they released the "provisional 2009 Formula One calendar". Seems the USA GP is still off and they pushed the 09 Canada GP to the start of June. I'm going to try my best in 09 to get to it.
