lol, Connecticut... Doesn't get much more expensive in the Northeast, unless you want to get NYC involved... lol

My now ex moved here from Washington State. She was outraged she has to pay "car tax" lol

I believe Maine has a tax or similar thing with a different name for owning a car. As far as I'm aware, PA doesn't do it and as long as I have PA plates on my car I'm keeping that way.

I've been riding the bus a lot more lately as gas is a killer with my car. It's also more convenient and less expensive at most times..

Random question:

Do you guys have "Spare the air" days?

I think that I know what you're talking about, taking a day without driving right? I got some days without driving anyways, and once spring actually comes I'll probably start riding my bike more often.

Maybe Shirt might know the answer to my concern though, I might be moving down to Pittsburgh sometime in the next couple of months, wonder if public transportation is good in Ptb or if driving would be the better option

In different places its called different things, I am referring to Spare the Air. I have heard of it before and yeah we do have it where I live.

Anyway in regards to Norrec's post I just want to point out something. There is this show on TLC called 'Parking Wars' and it takes place in Pittsburgh, the city of Brotherly Love, but the parking madies are anything but loving. Its worth a look if you are planning on moving there.

BTW I cant wait to ride my bike. This winter has taken a toll on my body. After the holidays and all the new years celebrations I can use some exercise.

Ahhh lol "Spare the Air" days are days where public transportation is free. I think it might just be here in the Valley, seeing as we have so many damn people, they are trying to cut back on smog and greenhouse emissions from all the commuters. It's a pretty good idea IMO. Should have been more specific when I asked haha

nope, no spare the air here in CT, we like it as dirty as possible, but we do follow CALIFORNIA EMISSIONS standards... >.>
(rofl, again, my now ex was like "Wtf?!? emissions? what's that?!?" lol @ washington state)

haha, good thing AWD cars don't get sniffed. Course, Subaru runs pretty clean anyways so it wouldn't matter much! Now an exhaust dB test -.- >.> I would fail!
(Nurburgring Spec Racing exhaust 4tw!)

You're thinking of Philadelphia, the city of brotherly love and star of Parking Wars.

I also can't wait til I can get my bike back out, it's sitting in my room right now with the sad 'i miss you' look. I'm going to have to see how much trail passes are at Kingdom Trails this year, they have some nice tracks out there. Also going to have to do some urban in Burlington again if I can get my friends to join me.
