Week 4....

As of tomorrow, it will be 4 weeks. That's 28 days. 672 hours. 40,320 minutes since I've had my Xbox 360. Trust me I have been counting.

I haven't gone through this sort of "no console" thing since atleast 1980's? NES since start all the way to 1997 (Don't ask lol) Nintendo 64, then PS1, PS2 and the 360.

Bestbuy can eat me.....How can a store that I purchased a XboX 360 for $399.00 with a $90.00 3 year exteneded warrenty tell me that I have to wait for them to ship it out to MS to be fixed while I sit around and do nothing?

employee: It can take anywhere from 2 weeks to 90 days. If it's over 90 days you get a brand new one.

So I could have phoned MS to send me a empty box myself and prob got it sooner than that. I have a warning for anybody who has this warrenty, if you go in cause the 360 has issues (Mine was No disc read) tell them it's the 3 red rings cause it seems they give you a new one on the spot.

I still have my PSP and it's not the same. There's also only so much pron I can download b4 I go nuts lol. I even feel like getting out my CIV III disc and installing them on my PC.

Only 1488 hours left............

Well that is just a giant turd. How they can think that is fair I'll never know. Fingers crossed you'll get your machine back soon.

Yeah guys, that is the one thing that really turns me away from the thought of owning a 360, the reality that its likely going to need replacing, among other things. Im hoping most of their good games eventually wind up on ps3 so that problem is solved........

It's so funny because i never buy warranties, because most of the time they are a waste of money.

...So Thursday I get a FedEx package in the mail. It's a letter from bestbuy regarding they tried to call me on Jan 12th with my cell phone number (Which I haven't had in almost 1 year). Of course my last name was wrong, home address but my postal code was correct.

Of course when I brought it in I told the guy my home number and he even wrote on the box and on the computer.

So I go in, show the FedEx package to the woman there. I had to hold my anger in cause I was pissed. I asked her what number she had on my file, and it was the Cell number. So she goes in the back to try to find it. Took 20 minutes cause she couldn't find it.....

She comes back, and there's a letter from Microsoft with it:

"This unit couldn't be fixed" lol...

So she tells me to get a new one and she will remvoe the HD and there we go.....I then ask her why didn't she call my other number and she couldn't give me an answer. I could have asked to speak with a manager but I was in a rush.

So, the unit took 6 days (Guy said min 2 weeks to 90 days) and If I didn't pick up the unit 5 days later they would have "disposed" of it....

The good news off all this. I got a newer hardware model with the HDMI imput in the back. I think that the new SKU have a better disc and fans to run cooler and not make much noise. Of course the new controller is sweet also. I think I should have tried to get a store credit or something. The downside is now I have to figure out how to get another $79.00 in under 30 days in order to put another warrenty on it. I would rather have that than nada and have to send it to MS myself.

Sorry for the novel, but Bestbuy can still kiss my ass.....but I'm back in the 21st century.

Glad you now have a fully functioning console. I bet it took some hammer over the weekend
