Default Merry Christmas everybody!

Merry Christmas everybody! Good eats and some presents under the tree! Hopefully everybody is going to have a safe one and remb not to drink and drive!

That is santa, serious

One of my presents to myself was a new paint and carpet cleaning of my room lol. Started Thursday afternoon and got everything done and back in tonight at 9pm. Huge job but it's done. Got a futon bed for a present that's now infront of Xbox 360 and later this week some new furniture . I'll post some pics once I get those new pieces. Finally got Transformers on DVD today as a early open present and just finished watching it. What a sweet movie.

I went today and adopted a 5yr old male cat from the shelter. He's been in there since sept and is super friendly and weighs about 20 pounds lol. His name is Bailey (yes after Baileys Irish creme lol, even though he's grey) and giving him a 2nd chance and a good home is the best thing I could think of. it's his Christmas present. Say no to kittens! And go adopt a older cat!

Merry Christmas everyone.

That's really nice of you to take in an older cat. It almost inspires me to do the same, but not right now due to financial reasons. We already have a kitten we took in from the previous tenants here, and we've been taking care of her indoor/outdoor parents... But I love cats and may consider adopting an older cat when I get things settled enough to do so.

Our kitten just made it through her first heat. It was cute, with the increased talkitivity (she never really meows too much) and playfulness, but I know I'll have to get her spayed to keep her comfortable in the future.

My gifts included 2 small fleece-ish blankets from my sister and niece for my gf and I, $50 Walmart Gift Card (already been magically transformed into Call of Duty 4), and $200 my sister took out of my dad’s bank account and sent to me (which even my mom thinks is funny because none of us like my father and he’s a cheapskate enough not to check his mail to know what happens with his bills he doesn’t pay.)

I ordered myself a VGA to 5 connector BNC cable so I could hook my PC to that input on my monitor and leave my 360 hooked up to the real VGA so rather than swapping the VGA cables when I want to play or use the PC, I can press a little button on the front. Convenience! I ordered that the other day and it shipped yesterday, should be here in a few days hopefully.
I also ordered a little DS tool but according to PSXe rules I can’t really discuss that here.

Yesterday at work was our food day to celebrate Christmas so we got a meat tray, lasagna, meatballs, cheesecake and apple crisp, I had fun working the busy store with the high school girls (who are all really funny) and I was told by my manager that he’s considering promoting me to key closer, so I’ll pretty much be a manager after that, and I’m the most recently hired employee.

So being in a good mood last night I bought my girlfriend and I 2 lobsters (which are pretty cheap this time of year in VT) and beer, she got wine, and for dinner tomorrow we’re having Cornish game hens and pierogis.

So being stuck in VT alone without my family and with my gf has been looking pretty decent so far, no gifts except what I bought us/myself, but I feel pretty good that it’s a day off work.
Oh, and no more Christmas music at work. That's the best part.

Looking forward to drunken Rainbow Six and Katamari with the gf for the day

Happy Holidays to the forums

Merry Christmas all. We had a fairly standard Christmas here, all the immediate family (me, parents, siblings and nephew) together, presents opened in the morning, Christmas dinner in the evening, and we might play a board game or something together later tonight. New games include Kane & Lynch, Mass Effect, Assassin's Creed and Super Mario Galaxy, which I think constitutes a pretty good haul.

Happy Christmas to everyone and I hope you all have a safe New Year.

I got fun stuff and practical stuff for Christmas and spent the day with my parents and Rosie17.

Little late to the party (haven't been on here for several months now...), but better late than never: Merry Christmas!
