What a load of crap. The sooner people get that brush out of their ass and stop jumping at shadows the better the world will be.
Appears a photo held by Elton John has been seized and is being investigated. The picture is of two young girls who are playing in the nude. But now get this: (Excerpt from Yahoo news) "The photograph exists as part of the installation as a whole and has been widely published and exhibited throughout the world," the statement said. It added that it had previously been exhibited in Houston, London, Madrid, New York, Portugal, Warsaw and Zurich "without any objections of which we are aware" and was offered for sale at Sotheby's in New York in 2002 and 2004. So this picture has been part of the art world for years and just now they decide to investigate the current owner. I gotta think it's the people who are making such a big deal who have the problem. It's just a picture of a couple of kids playing. They aren't being abused and I assume they weren't forced to pose for the picture. I'm not saying I agree that it counts as art (I'd say that about a lot of pictures out there) but I strongly doubt it was created as pedo material and if they ban this photo just because a handful of freaks might be getting off then I can list a whole lorryload of other material which should be banned simply because one or two might be viewing the material in a way for which it wasn't intended. More details here: http://uk.news.yahoo.com/rtrs/200709...6ea0823_2.html I suppose if anything this does raise the question of why this particular picture should be taken as art when other pictures which may not be disimilar are prosecuted for.
