I don't own a ps3
|
So here's a quick recap. Marie and I moved in together when we graduated, that was 2 years ago. Everything is going well, so we started looking at houses. Furthermore, I work in the west end of the city, she works downtown, and 95% of our social life and family is in the east end. So we were looking for something somewhat central that's somewhat affordable...
We only found one area that meets the price and central requirements, and yesterday we visited a house that we both liked... However, we've only been looking seriously for the last week, so I feel like buying it would be rushing in... However, the houses there sell like hotcakes (most of them in a week or two) - so if we want to make a move, we'll make it today. I'm not 100% convinced yet, but I've asked my parents to look around with me to have a 2nd opinion. Stay tuned for more...

I did the same thing....looked at a couple of houses saw one and we bought it. Good luck in whatever you choose Sunny. A second opinion is always a good thing too.

Are you using a realtor? If so, did they recommend getting a home inspection done?
If you don't really know anything about home construction/maintenance (e.g. structural stability, life expectancy of wiring, plumbing, roofing, siding, windows, and that type of stuff), then you might seriously consider having the sale contract drawn up to be contingent on successful completion of an inspection.

Yeah, but they're not as nice and they're going for the same price, and they've been on the market much longer (well 2 weeks), as opposed to like 2-3 days for this one. I think we'll wait for a bit, and as soon as we find one that we like, we'll make a move.

at "fiddlesticks"Sorry, man. Hope you guys get into something that works out well. Buying a house is a risky business, especially if you're planning on being there for the long haul.
