Help me remember

I'm remembering all of these movies from my childhood like Legend with Tom Cruise and whatnot. However, I am having problems remembering a certain movie and I am hoping you guys can help me out. The only thing I can remember about it is that a white horse/unicorn turns into a black dragon. This movie was made in the 80s I believe.

to who can tell me the title.

The other two fantasy movies that I recall from the 80s, are Willow (and I know it's not from there) - and The Princess Bride (and I don't remember much about that one).

was there puppets involed, you know like Dark crystal or that one with David Bowie?

Yeah, it's not Willow, Princess bride (I was Dread Pirate Roberts last halloween, I may post a pic), Dark crystal (I hate your whimper), or Labyrinth (Smeeeeellll baaaad). I watch all of those regularly.

As for puppets, I think the dragon was a puppet they held over a screen to make the illusion of it flying.

Maybe this will help you remember.

I thought a bit too late of this costume to grow a moustache, but oh well. My hair was the right length however. I apologize for my strange posture. I had just had surgery on my knee and was on crutches (you can see them in the back ground I think)
