CD-WOW, a major CD seller based in Hong Kong have been fined for selling cheap CD's to the UK market.
It's claimed that this is so that UK artists get a fair price for their music when actually I think it's just to line the pockets of major UK based retailers. Each business in the chain from artist to customer add on their own mark-up and it's just that shops like CD-WOW don't seek to make the same % of profit that local retailers do. They are considering appealing against the copywrite breach fine of £38 million and I hope they succeed. I for one will never pay more than £10 for a shop bought album or £2 for an album download.

This is unfair.
I use CD-WOW alot as I have a multi-region DVD player and sometimes their alot cheaper than Play.com on region 2.
