As for Tito in general, at first I despised him because of him playing the 'bad guy' as Cowboy puts it, but TUF 3 really showed the guy does have class and he's probably the best coach that TUF has had yet. However, the stupid crap he pulled with Dana just irked me. Last edited by Ryan H. : 05-28-2007 at 01:50 PM. |

Alot of MMA fighters are based in 2 or 3 certain forms or mixes of them. A stand-up fighter is a mix of boxing and kickboxing. Most of the fighters are also skilled in wrestling (Not the WWE kind of course lol)
I've seen fighters skilled Karate, Judo, Greco-Roman wrestling, Muay Thai, Kickboxing, boxing, Shoot wrestling, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, full contact karate. The list goes on and on. Each fighter is different and has different styles. When there's a match, most fighters will train to up there skills on what the other fighter has. Rampage above is a "Freestyle Wrestling/Brawler". The "conditioning" they go through is also insane. Chucks fighting style is kickboxing but my guess is he trains in all sorts of different styles (He's going to need it to re capture that belt lol) ![]() Last edited by cAtDaFeLiX : 05-28-2007 at 06:26 PM. |

For stand up arts, any decent, straightforward striking art is fine, such as boxing or kickboxing, which are the two most common IIRC. You're not going to see a bunch of people trying to use kung fu or tae kwon do or any of the more stylized arts, because they're not really practical in these situations. Most really good fighters are some mix of wrestling, jujitsu, boxing and kickboxing/muay thai. |

For all those talking about how Dana "won't put up with that kind of shit" in regards to the two dudes who got into the brawl on TUF, the two have been scheduled for a fight on the undercard of the finals. He was so outraged that not only did he air the brawl in its entirety (after promoting the shit out of it all year), but he's paying them for a sanctioned rematch on national TV. Obviously, a lot of his flip out was for show and he realizes that that sort of thing can bring in some viewers. Which is cool by me, I'm looking forward to seeing it.
