It appears that Americans like the British Queen but have no interest in Royalty per se.

Do you guys agree. I think a lot of Brits would too.

I personally like the Monarchy and am glad we still have them.

Can't stand royalty to be honest. They just sit around and do f**k all everyday whilst gathering up OUR taxes to keep them going. Not only do I dislike the fact that they do nothing for it, but that kind of money could go towards stuff that needs it, e.g. our almost in tatters NHS! The only thing they really do is attract toursits, so I guess having them there and the money they must collect from that balances out what I feel about them, to a certain extent. At the end of the day, they are normal people who are born into unimagineable wealth for no reason! At least when someone has been born into wealth usually, it's because their parents have worked for it, whatever job they have.

I'm also getting really sick of all the papers going on about Prince William and Kate Middleton. Like anyone cares so much that it was the main story in the papers for about a week

She seems nice enough, and I guess there's something sorta cool about the whole royalty thing, but if you're asking if I think the US should have a similar deal, no, not particularly. I imagine that were I over there I'd probably be like Goten and sick of them. I think part of the appeal is that it's this quaint old tradition that I only rarely pay attention to.
