yes. i try hard not to show it. but im only mildly.
i know some people who cant even spell their own name, and theyre into their 50's ..but probably the best educated guys i knw. one is an artist and the other is an incredible martial artist.

It doesnt have to be a life ending sentence by not being able to spell well. But it does say something about a person if they are able to overcome those deficiencies and become better at common communication. Growing up we didnt have any choice but to learn how to read, write, and communicate well. The educational process has fallen way off this as being an important component in the day to day education of a young person, and it shows noticeably as compared to 20 or so years ago. Im proud of the young people here who are clearly well read and educated, and noticeably doing well with their lives...

Even when I was younger (and I'm only 24 now) my parents were quite strict with my education. I knew the basics of reading, writing and numeracy before I went to nursery school at the age of 4 (ish).


Anyone who tries to overcome their disability gets a slap on the back from me.

when i was a child, if left to my own devices i think i may well of been left handed, but in my time we were NOT ALLOWED to be left handed (mad eh!?!) so every time i tried to do something left handed, i would be told "no". and the teacher would come and take what ever was in my left hand and put it in my right.

back in the mid eighties a lot of things went on and was brushed under the carpet. when i couldnt concentrate and got poor marks, they said i was mucking around.. but i actually just need glasses to see the black board. and when i couldnt spell and ended up in certain classes with the 'other' guys who couldnt spell.. i was very different from them, as let me put it this way.. i wasnt 'special' like them.

to converse, imagine and translate empathy, feelings and emotions, i have no problems, and where my brain rewires certain parts.. it just means im stronger at other things, like most dyslectic people.

but the reason why i dont show it,is because like i say i come from that age where you dont show it, but the meer fact that im telling you guys, shows that ive come a long way and im cool with it.

lol... i know! my mums left handed, she must be the evil the devil.. erm, that means im the son of the devil and that means i am evil.. christ on a stick! cool.. ive always wanted to shoot fire from my finger tips amd levitate people and do stuff like go invisible... cool!


on a not so serious note, my mate at work is reading up about a Bluesman called Robert Johnson who apparenty sold his soul to the devil. the story goes that the guy wasnt very gifted in the music dept at all, he went away for a year, returned an amazing guitarist.

whether its true or not... what would you sell your soul for? serious or comedy .. i dont care! i dont really believe in all the devil stuff, im agnostic to the core..

so just for the art of conversation, i would sell my sole for.. world peace and the art of being able to go invisible when i wanted. lol.. that would be cool. oh and being able to shoot fire from ones finger tips blah blah blah...

Damn Dillon, Same thing happened to my gran but that was back in the 40's! I never realised that the whole left/right hand issue was still there when you were at school.
