**** that fight, I'm pretending it never happened. In my mind the welterweight title just doesn't exist until GSP beats the **** out of Serra in the rematch.

Agreed, Serra got lucky as hell, he'll definately lose the rematch. And Diego blew that match sooo bad my not striking. He was on the defense the whole time, ****ing bullshit.sometimes i feel like this shit is fixed these days.

I HATED that Diego fight, it was the most boring thing I've ever seen. It did allow Koscheck to prove his versitility, we now know that he can be boring as shit on the ground AND on his feet. Quite the talent. At least he's awesome at cutting promos and acting like an ass, because that's the only way he's ever going to sell a fight.

I don't know why you guys need to hate on Serra, the guy has serious talent, and his loss to Carter way back was nothing more than a fluke.

He seems like a douche to me, and I don't like that he got a title shot just by winning the reality show, since he didn't ever really have to fight anyone of any note (and I still don't think he beat Lytle all that convincingly in the finals, if he beat him at all). He's got some talent, but I don't think he's at the level of the top guys in the division (Hughes, GSP, Penn, etc), this win aside. I'm not taking anything away from what he did, he had a great gameplan for the fight and executed well, but I don't think he can consistently hang with those guys and I think he'll be exposed in his next fight.

I also really really like GSP, he's probably my favorite fighter in all of MMA, and I'm bummed out that he got upset by someone who he'd probably beat nine times out of ten in his first defense. But I guess that's MMA these days, stuff like that can happen. It's pretty obvious that the mental problems that cost him the first Hughes fight are still there, and I hope he can get that straightened out, because when he's on I think he's the best pound for pound fighter in the world.
