Congrats Arnold, you just made yourself $40!!!! Man, I loved this years NBA Allstar Weekend. The dunk contest is back! Jason Richardson and Anthony Mason are just TOO MUCH!! Those guys have some of the sickest dunks I've seen in a long time. I particularily loved Mason's through-the-legs from outside the semi-circle!! That was MONSTROUS. Also Richardsons alley oop to himself through-the-legs dunk from the baseline, that was just HUGE. Some sweet dunks from those guys.

The allstar game today was pretty good. Not the most exciting one I've seen, but there were some big dunks and blocks and mad skills in that game. MJ's fade away jumper at the end of the first OT was very impressive. And double overtime is pretty good. Must've been real late for you guys there on the east coast! Anways, what'd everyone else think of NBA Allstar weekend (those who actually watched it!).

Is it just me or are the Dunk Contest a little weak after watching Carter a few years ago?

I happen to agree with you on that. That's the reason the NBA tried to dump the slam dunk competition with 2 ball and the fans got angry. So they had it back ever since. I believe that just about every dunk that's been done has been done.

I wasn't very happy that my favorite NBA player didn't make the all-star team and he had a great year.

who didn't make it in?

and i thought the NBA and NHL all star games were stellar. course, anything could beat the travesty that happened during the baseball all star game.

I thought the teams were stellar. There usually are several great players that don't make the all-star team each year. It's just that I'm a big Jalen Rose fan and he didn't make the team although he's had an excellent season. However, I did think it was great that Yao Ming was the starter in the all-star game. He deserved it more than Shaq.

Well you never know with that sort of memorabelia (spelling?). Some of those things are going to be worth a lot in the future. Heck, I still have an autographed Wayne Gretzky card of when he was on L.A. Kings.

But regarding the allstar game, I thought it was decent, although I've seen more exciting games. I particularily liked last year's T-Mac off the glass to himself alley-oop dunk, that was simply amazing. But I liked how they brought back the retro allstar jerseys this year instead of the home and away team jerseys....... way better. And Shaq dribbling through his legs and doin a little shake 'n bake was hilarious. I wanna get me one of those MJ retro allstar jerseys!

And about the dunk contest, I honestly think Mason and Richardsons dunks (the ones I've previously mentioned) were better than some of Carter's back in 2000. But like the announcers said, "The dunk contest is back!!" And I believe it is, there are still some dunks that haven't been done, particularily the 360 through-the-legs dunk that Richardson said he was trying to do. I'd also like to see a 360 behind the back, and possibly also a 540 (I betcha Carter might be able to pull that one off!).
