It's cool and all but..I've got a phone, and I've got an iPod, I don't really have any need for an iPod phone.

I don't really want a cellphone, but this is probably the closest I've ever been to wanting one.

However, it's safe to say that they will introduce a normal iPod with that same interface sometime in the next year and a half. That, I will get on day 1.

Well i've been waiting for this to happen and finally it has happened.

A Lawsuit has been files by Cisco Systems, Inc. (Parent company of Linksys) against Apple Inc., due to the a trademark infringement by Apple. Linksys (A Division of Cisco Systems, Inc.) had a recently released VoIP Phone called iPhone which is Trademarked by Cisco Systems, Inc. Therefore Apple now has a problem releasing this phone named iPhone.

I guess they may have to change it to i-phone or some other minor alteration like that.

I seem to remember hearing a while back that they may have trouble releasing it with that name due to a trademark issue but it seems they've tried their luck anyway.. and failed.

You mean Apple doesn't have a trademark the lowercase letter 'i'? Could have fooled me.

You cannot legally trademark a letter. Trademarks are for products. Trademark "i" is a general letter, unless they released a product named "i", then they can trademark "i" for that product. But that still wouldn't trademark anything else like iPod or iPhone, seperate trademarks are needed.

Trademarks have to have products under the trademark name.

Brandon, are you seriously asking a question like that?

No i'm not a lawyer. And why in the world do you have to know this kind of stuff to be a lawyer.

You can learn a lot about anything you want to through the net. Hell, Prisoners aren't lawyers, but they seem to learn the law while in prison.

You can't possibly have thought I was being serious.

Between this and thinking that Stephen Colbert is actually a republican, you REALLY need to work on sarcasm.
