Whats wrong with this Psxextreme news displays? - Page 4

I just dl'd firefox version 2.0.0.1 to test this.

The front page and articles seem to work fine but the adverts aren't displaying. I just get white boxes with a symbol similar to the red X's.

EDIT:

It's the square advert above the news. The rectangular banner shaped advert above that ("free PS3") is working fine.

Yes its working better.

However.

I noticed a lot of mediamotor, adclicks and other spyware after the daily clean?

Maybe its spyware from other sites but after using spybot S and D your site works better?

I will check again in a few hours but I am quite sure that the PS3 ads were consuming bandwith and this was producing timeout/server reset page unable to load problems.

Anyhoo.

The site is working much better.

When I reach Madrid I will try it from there.

This is what I get with firefox:

The only difference with IE 6.0.29 is it's a red x symbol. Same advert appears broken in all news/previews/reviews etc but atleast the psxe stuff does show.

If you think this could be because I don't have something installed that would help, let me know and I'll dl it and let you know what happens. I don't want you hunting for a problem if it's now me that's broken

Well, we fixed the page loading problem. Now the broken image problem needs to be fixed.

Thats the same page I get here in Madrid with the news and all of the text perfect! and just the broken image.

Hmmmm, I know very little about site management but may I suggest that the texts get a high priority load script and the images a lower prority load script.

And the server page load time be extended a second or two.(with the images loading in the background as we begin to read).

Hmmm for example when loading any page from any site hit the stop button and you will either see incomplete image load, incomplete text load or a combination of both.

The problem sometimes is that when you have a small window for load times it generates conflicts when both the texts and the images have same priority load times with:

Case 1:
The images win out and get loaded and server load time cuts off before the texts have time to load.

Case 2 :
The texts win out and get loaded and the images get cut off due to server page load times.

Anyhoo I have no idea what I am talking about......................................
